Eye Spy... something I want to try in 2009

I have some secret resolutions, only "new year resolutions" because we are in the "new year", but they are pretty constant because I never get on top of them. Nothing ground breaking, things like eat better, exercise more, be more organised etc etc. But that's not what this post is about. This is one thing I really want to do this year...

I want to paint my own nesting dolls. Woot! I've seen it around blog land and I have a love of nesting dolls, so why not. And they are reasonably priced here. I have bought 2 sets and they have been posted, so now it is the waiting game. They have a long way to travel, so we'll see.

This photo is of some "nesting penguins" from Ebay that I bought for Caleb when Jemima was born.

But truly they are mine because I love them the most.

Thank you Cindy for hosting Eye Spy and for asking me to choose the theme this week!

What a great idea to buy blanks and then DIY.
Can't wait to see the finished product!

That does sound like fun. I saw some turned into s&p shakers on another blog. Can't wait to see yours.

ooh, I've been wanting to do this too! There was a blog that had a nesting doll exchange that I didn't have time to join. They're so cute, I wish I had made time for it (check them all out here for some inspiration!)

I love your project ambition for 2009. What a fun idea. What sized stack have you ordered? I noticed there are nesting dolls of up to 30!

Thanks for the great theme, by the way. It was a goodie.

Hiya Hoppo B. I ordered a very modest set of 5! Starting small.
