My Place and Yours: Bedside

This week I am joining in with Pip's meme "My place and yours"!

How fortuitous that the honourable theme queen decreed this week's theme to be Bedside. For this is the best my bedside has ever looked.

The flowers here are off cuts from a big $8 bunch that I put in the kitchen. I have never had flowers on my bedside table before, but it sure is lovely.

Handmade Home is a gift for someone who pretty much began sewing around the same time I did. I am taking a sneaky peak before I wrap it up (!)

The Australian Prayer Book is not a regular fixture, but borrowed from my Dad for inspiration. Because my brother and his sweet lady are getting married today! And I get to do the prayer!

Also pictured: my journal, some family snaps and a little Ikea lamp.

Just to the right of this little scene are the children's "good clothes" all laid out ready to party this afternoon and way past their bed times. Gotta love a family wedding!

You're the second bedside I've visited that has had some fresh plantlife next to it. It's must be so nice to wake up to them in the morning. It's now on my list of to-dos.

Yes, I am a fan of those cut flowers by the bed. Going off to get me some now - we have bucket loads of orange and cream nastertiams (spelling?) in the garden. Thanks!

your bedside is really pretty and tidy and clean , i wasn't brave enough to show my 27 year old radio and all the aspirational /unread books , the newspapers and the dust....but the theme did give me the opportunity to share my golden bed and lampshades ...theres no better way to get to know someone than having a good nosey around their house and lucky you off to a wedding hope its great fun , my word verification is heart ,now thats a good omen

Always good to have a journal next to the bed to jot down thoughts, reflections and plans.

Aw. Everything has the sweetest story here, but the bedside is not one bit cluttered! But lots of stories! Go figure! I think your bedside is lovely and I think I need flowers in my room too, just like you! Thank you for playing. xx

I love the flowers too, I would love to do that! But I'm afraid my cat would eat it! Thanks for visiting my bedside too! :)

Oh, I like that little lamp! I think I've only ever had fresh flowers beside my bed once or twice, but I think it should happen more often!

I love your bedside, so pretty and fresh. I was looking at that book thinking gee that looks familiar. No wonder, my Mum has the same one!
